南北大道发表文告指出，此举目的是减少驾驶者在收费站前的车道排队加额而造成交通拥堵。该公司预计在佳节期间，大道的车流量将从正常日的170万辆增至18%约200万辆。
小编也在这儿提醒各位驾驶者可以在全国约1万1000个地点为一触即通卡 （Touch N Go）加额如自动提款机（ATM）、24小时便利店以及油站等。南北大道公司指出，有关电子钱包直接付费的服务暂时未能操作。
南北大道公司主要经营南北大道（PLUS）、新巴生河流域大道（NKVE）、芙蓉─波德申大道（SPDH）、南北大道第二中环衔接大道（ELITE）、马新第二通道（Linkedua）、北海居林大道（BKE）及槟城大桥。
