A&W Malaysia于3月5在EkoCheras Mall举行正式开幕仪式。在开幕之际，A&W也发表了其宏大的扩张计划，希望在2021年年底之前在马来西亚开设到100间分行。目前于EkoCheras Mall开设的分店是旗下在全国开设的第47家分店。开幕当天也邀请到了赫赫有名的马来西亚歌手兼女演员Nabila Razali女士，和A&W Malaysia首席执行官George Ang，以及 Supply Chain & Technical, A Great American Brand Sdn. Bhd的总监David Lee先生，同台一起为A&W第47间分店举行开幕仪式。
随着时代的进步，A&W Malaysia的母公司Inter Mark Resources Sdn. Bhd.也把自家品牌年轻化，主攻年轻人的市场。该公司计划，至到2019年底将该公司的分行数量增加到60家，到2021年底将其扩张到100家。A&W Malaysia的首席执行官George Ang在致词时也表示：”这对于快餐业而言，确实是个令人兴奋的时刻。我们相信目前的时间和市场条件都已经趋向成熟，并将A&W Malaysia的形象重振，使到现代消费者可以在我们旗下的分店获得全新的体验，携手与我们一起进行扩张计划。”
