随着封城停工停运输，全球的空气污染问题明显改善了不少。据综合外媒报道，位于印度东部的海滩（Rushikulya）因疫情导致游客大大减少减，同时也随着人类活动的减少，沙滩在一周内已涌入近28万只濒危的榄蠵龟（Olive ridley sea turtle）到岸上产卵，场面颇为壮观！据了解当地距离上一次海龟白天集体产卵，已是7年前的事了。
如今原本面临濒危的海龟可安心在海滩上产卵的情形让人感动不已。这难得的一幕也让当地居民拍下上传在Instagram分享。
据当地保育职员指，榄蠵龟会以一次5千至1万只分批上岸，预计今年将会超过47.5万只濒危的榄蠵龟在Rushikulya海滩底产下至少6千万颗海龟蛋。从前为了防止游客践踏或偷猎者偷盗，会帮忙将海龟蛋移到安全的地方，但这次看来小榄蠵龟可以顺利平安出生，并自行爬回大海了！
