政府宣布2019年10月1日起，除了吉隆坡国际机场以外的所有机场，飞往东盟以外国际航班机票的乘客服务费，从原本的73令吉降至50令吉。然而凡是在10月1日前购买10月1日后出发的国际航班机票，并已缴付73令吉机场税的乘客可以向相关航空公司取得退款，也就是差额23令吉。
在申请退还机场税前，必须确认清楚你的状况是否符合以下几点：
一，10月1日后的国际航班乘客
二，在KLIA以外的机场登机
三，在10月前购买机票，也已缴付RM73机场税
根据亚航官网显示，申请机场税退款必须在航班起飞后的6个月内提交，若过了期限就没得退款喽！若是购买亚航机票，便可通过亚航AVA申请退还23令吉机场税。
最新机上税收费：
国内航班：RM11
东盟航班：RM35
国际航班：KLIA为RM73仍保持不变，其余机场一律收费RM50
